This is not your typical CNC machinist role.

We want you to create and use new ways of CNC machining using AI, auto-CAM tools, and other methods by eliminating wasted clicks and repeating what can be automated (container method on Fusion 360, for example). We value more that you have a repeatable speed/feed database for tools you use often than knowing how to quickly calculate it on the fly or knowing it by heart; we care deeply that you think about the entire system and work towards automating every step between the digital file and the machined part.

What we’re looking for:

Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail
Strong CAM skills (Fusion 360 preferred)
Interest in manufacturing, operations, robots, or industrial systems
Comfortable being highly hands-on in a shop environment
High agency and initiative
Basic software fluency; able to use tools like ChatGPT and Claude to build lightweight software solutions when useful
